About this tool

The 90° buttons rotate without losing any detail. The straighten slider rotates by any angle between −45° and 45° in half-degree steps; the canvas grows to fit, so corners are never cut off. In PNG and WebP, the new corners are transparent; in JPEG they become white.

Flipping mirrors the image, which is handy for selfies taken with the front camera, which some phones save mirrored.

Good to know

  • One image at a time.
  • Fine rotation slightly softens the image, as any rotation by a non-right angle does.

Frequently asked questions

How do I fix a photo that is sideways?

Click "Rotate right" or "Rotate left" until it is upright, then download.

How do I straighten a tilted horizon?

Move the Straighten slider until the horizon is level. Crop the result afterwards to remove the empty corners.

Why does my photo look rotated only in some apps?

Phones often store a rotation flag instead of rotating the pixels. Saving here applies the rotation to the pixels, so it looks right everywhere.
